Suitable for

Induction to Children & Young People's Workforce - Youth Work Starting Monday  October 4,11,18. November 1,8,15,22,29

7.00pm-9.30pm

 

This is an 8 week course course that integrates a basic introduction to Youth Work  with the Children and Young Peoples workforce common induction framework. Although the course stands alone it is the first of 3 parts for successful completion the whole induction Common Induction programme. You will also need to attend a Level 1 Basic Safeguarding awareness course, and obtain a report signing off of your competencies by your group leader, line manager. The course will give participants experience of practical activities for work young people The course is held at Reddish Area Office

You will obtain a certificate of attendance for this course To obtain a certificate of completion for the whole  programme you will need to be volunteering or working in a youth work situation.

This session will explain the Common Induction framework and requirements for assessing and signing off participants competencies  for managers / supervisors / group leaders whose inductees are participating in the  in the Induction to Children & Young People's Workforce - Youth Work course. Common Assessment Frame work Dates to be confirmed  DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY There will be a couple of places available on a "Train the Trainers" course for delivering CAF training. Diversity-Basic Awareness

9th Thursday  September(6.30-9.30pm)

 

This session will introduce and give an overview the different strands of equality and diversity work within in the youth work curriculum and establish a starting point for those interested in taking work in specific areas further.

All staff, volunteers , management members should attend and re fresh every 3 years. (NB due to the compressed content of this course promptness is a requirement) 6 till 9 pm at the Dialstone centre
